Creating Layers – AutoCAD
Layers are powerful tools that help productivity within an AutoCAD drawing. They are series of lines/objects that are classified into categories. Examples of layers in an architectural drawing would be “A-Walls” or “A-Windows”. These layers allow the user to isolate and manipulate the drawing with ease. These layers are no different than Photoshop layers except there is no order placement for them. Properties such as line type and line weight and more can be attached to a desired layer.
