How to Submit a Google Doc/Google Slides
Please follow the steps outlined below in order to successfully submit a Google Doc through the website. There are two ways you can submit a Google Doc - either by SHARING the document so you teacher can edit it, or by downloading the Doc as a Microsoft Word document and submitting that in the more traditional manner.
Step 1: Access the Share menu in Google Docs
Once you have successfully logged into your Gmail account where your Doc or Slides is stored, you will need to open it and locate the Share button.
It is located in the top right hand corner of the screen and is coloured BLUE

Step 2: Change Permission Settings
Your next step is to change the permissions from "Can View" to "Can Edit". If you do not do this step then your teacher will not be able to access your assignment without requesting permissions first. This can result in a failure of the assignment if not addressed in a timely manner.
Once you click the Blue Share button, you will be greeted with this dialog box:

Click the eyeball to the right of the text entry box to open the drop down menu - this is where you will set your permissions.
SELECT - "CAN EDIT" from this menu. You should now see a Pencil for editing rather than an eyeball for viewing.

Step 3: Accessing your Share Link
Now that you have changed the permissions, you must access the link which you will use to copy and paste into Mr. Da Silva's website for submission.
In the Share dialog box, click "GET SHAREABLE LINK" on the top right of the dialog box, a new option will appear which will look like this:

Step 4: Submit through the Website
Now that you have shared your link, you can submit your link into the website into the area called LINK(S). Below is a sample of what a correctly filled out submission will look like for a Grade 11 Yearbook Student.
Once your information is correctly submitted, you may click the SUBMIT button - just make sure you only click the submit button ONCE! Confirm with Mr. Da Silva and he will be happy to verify your submission went through!
